Join us for a Laura Heine Collage Quilt Workshop.
Saturday October 13th
Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with a working lunch)
Workshop cost: $20.00 (plus cost of kit & pattern see additional details below)
Monica Kryzer will be instructing us on the art of making a Laura Heine Collage Quilt.
Everyone wanting to participate will need to purchase a kit. Laura Heine kits are sold at https://www.fiberworks-heine.com/shop/patterns.htm. The Laura Heine kits do not include the pattern. So kits can be purchased on line and the patterns can be purchased from Topstitchery. Once you have chosen the kit you are going to make, let us know which one it is so that we can order the pattern.

- Make anything that you want with your adopted block(s)
- You can take them apart and use only the part you like

September 15th is National Sew A Jelly Roll day!! And we are celebrating with a group sew along.
Don't have a jelly roll ~~ no problem get into your stash and cut 40 -- 2 1/2" strips. This is a great way to use up some of those stash scraps.
Don't want to sew a jelly roll quilt... no worries we have chosen several patterns that will help you use up a few scraps.
Bring a selection of scraps, your sewing machine, necessary quilting supplies and join us in making either a friendship star table topper or a small throw.
Don't have anywhere for your 'scrap' quilt to go, leave it with Topstitchery, we will get it quilted during a certification class, sew the binding on and donate it to a good cause.
BUSTED NEEDLE will be at the shop all day to clean machines. Bring yours in for a good cleaning ---- just in time for your Fall / Winter sewing. You and your machine will get along all season when Lisa is done.
We are making 1/2 hour cleaning appointments so call ahead to ensure your time.
Topstitchery is once again participating in the 2018 Sew Fun Shop Hop. The Sew Fun Shop Hop will run from August 13th thru September 7th.
- Every participant will be entered into our in-shop raffle for a $35.00 Topstitchery Gift Certificate
- Every participant will receive a fat-eighth of Grunge Creme from Topstitchery to be incorporated into a 12.5" unfinished Quilt Block (block selection to be one of the participating shop patterns) which will donated to "Quilts of Honor" when shop hop is done
- Participants may use the fabrics / patterns collected through the shop hop to enter more than one block
- Participants may chose to enter multiple blocks from the same pattern
- Participants may (but are not required to) buy the same fabric given out to make more blocks
- Participants MAY NOT use any other fabric or block pattern
The blocks will be donated to the local Quilts of Honor group. Though the group is local, the quilts made with the blocks go wherever there is a need to give a quilt to a Military member / Veteran.
